Sukhjinder Randhawa again in controversy for his ‘Bharat Ratna’ remarks

Congress leaders are either not able to understand the changed mood of the country or are deliberately making such statements that provide an opportunity for the BJP to attack. Party General Secretary in-charge of Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa once again said something, that should not have been said.
He said in a program in Nagore, Rajasthan, that Bharat Ratna is given to a dead person. He was commenting on the Bharat Ratna award being given to senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani. Randhawa forgot that the Congress-led UPA government had also given the Bharat Ratna to the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in February 2014, along with this, Jawahar Lal Nehru was given the Bharat Ratna in 1955 and Indira Gandhi in 1971 by the Congress government while they were alive.
BJP state president CP Joshi has put Congress in the circle of questions by attacking Randhawa. In 2001, the NDA government gave Bharat Ratna to Lata Mangeshkar while she was alive.
In fact, due to the controversial statements of the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi became increasingly powerful in the country’s politics. When Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, whatever the Congress said against him only gave him strength. After that, even when Modi became the Prime Minister, the Congressman did not stop.
They feel that speaking negatively makes the high command happy, so some leaders say whatever comes to their mouths without thinking.
Sonia Gandhi uttered the word ‘Maut ka Saudagar’ as the President, and as a result, the party lost the Gujarat elections. After this, there are many words like Chowkidar Chor, Chaiwala, Neech, and Panauti which should not have been said but were uttered.
However, a large section of the party was always against these words. There was opposition within the party to the word chowkidar chor’, but Rahul Gandhi trusted his young and less experienced advisors more. He had made it an issue in the last general elections. The party lost the election.
When prominent leaders make negative statements, Rahul also defends them; they argue that we have democracy here. In the last ten years, they have not understood that the party is suffering damage from words, and conflicts are also increasing.
Congress is paying the price for the statements of its ally Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leaders, whether it’s a statement on Hinduism or demands to form another country. BJP gets an opportunity to attack Congress. If an influence is not being exercised on the allies, then guidance can at least be given to their own leaders.
In Rajasthan, the slogans “Chowkidar Chor Hai” and “Panauti” were raised, and caused significant damage during the polls. The in-charge of Rajasthan, Randhawa, is not refraining from speaking, he utters things that harm the party. Before the legislative assembly elections last year, in May, he made a statement like “End Modi.” The matter is currently in court.
Similarly, they kept making statements about their government that escalated conflicts. After the defeat, a statement was made that was not necessary. Randhawa said, “I didn’t participate in the distribution of tickets. If I would’ve distributed the tickets, the party would have won.” There was no meaning to this statement now. Right now, after the victory of the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, there should have been discussions on how to stop the BJP’s hat trick and search for strong candidates, but it’s the opposite as the party members are clashing among themselves.
In the Congress meeting on Sunday, Randhawa made comments on Bharat Ratna that will harm the party. Randhawa hasn’t reached an age where he can distinguish between right and wrong, especially in the era of Google. The BJP has become an attacker in this matter. Randhawa has made controversial comments at such a time when the closure of petroleum has become a big issue, attacking the Congress government in Rajasthan.
