The Haryana Government has approved nine new projects totaling over Rs. 38.03 crore under the Rural Augmentation Water Supply Programme. These projects will be implemented in three districts—Sirsa, Kaithal, and Hisar. Chief Minister Manohar Lal granted administrative approval for these initiatives to be executed by the Public Health Engineering Department.
Providing further details, an official spokesperson stated that the new projects include the replacement of old PVC/AC pipes and repair of water supply structures in the village of Kuleri, Hisar, with an expenditure of Rs. 7.21 crore. Additionally, there’s the laying of a raw water carrier and construction of intake structures near the canal for water works in the village of Jamal, Sirsa, at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.29 crore. A canal-based water works project in Ahmadpur, Sirsa, is also in the pipeline, with an estimated cost of Rs. 4.37 crore.
Other projects involve the laying of a D.I. pipe inlet channel from the canal to water works in Rupana Bishnoian village, Sirsa (Rs. 2.40 crore); improvement of water supply schemes in Raipur, Dhani Raipur, and Sikarpur villages, Hisar (Rs. 2.65 crore); enhancement of the distribution system, replacement of old AC/PVC existing pipelines, and rectification of damaged water connections in Kharodi village, Tehsil Guhla, District Kaithal (Rs. 3.92 crore); renovation of civil structures, improvement of the distribution system, replacement of old AC/PVC existing water supply pipelines, and rectification of old damaged water connections in Ramgarh Pandwa village, Tehsil Kalayat, District Kaithal (Rs. 3.04 crore); and the construction of a boosting station in Liwalwali village, Sirsa (Rs. 2.11 crore).
