The National Adolescent Health Programme recognised and honored outstanding peer teachers for their exceptional contributions. The event, attended by Civil Surgeon, Deputy Civil Surgeon, District Adolescent Health Officer, all RKSK nodal officers, ASHAs, and the 13 top-performing peer teachers, celebrated their dedicated efforts.
During the event, Dr. Mukta Kumar, the Civil Surgeon, highlighted the significant role played by the 520 peer teachers across villages and primary health centers. These teachers actively contribute to raising awareness among children on various crucial topics within their communities.
Dr. Kumar explained that peer teachers engage with their peers and classmates to share information on disease prevention, healthy eating habits, anemia, de-addiction, HIV AIDS, Wifus program, deworming, vaccination, immunization, and more.
Recognizing the exemplary work, Dr. Mukta Kumar commended his fellow teachers who excelled in their roles and presented them with well-deserved awards. Dr. Shivani Satija, Deputy Civil Surgeon for RKSK, expressed appreciation for all the children, encouraging them to continue their commendable efforts in the future.
