Following heavy rains and floods in Himachal Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday and inquired about the extent of the damage to life and property caused by the state’s heavy rains and floods.
According to the announcement, the Chief Minister informed him that the State had been severely impacted by floods and heavy rainfall, causing substantial damage, and given an update on the situation, as well as requesting liberal support from the Central Government to deal with this natural tragedy.
The Chief Minister informed Prime Minister Modi that the State Government was keeping a careful eye on the situation.
He stated that the region has been experiencing constant rainfall, resulting in major floods and landslides, as well as damage to roads, water, and power supply. According to the announcement, the disaster claimed 17 lives and caused massive harm, destroying property worth thousands of crores.
