Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a virtual interaction with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), expressed confidence in the resilience and determination of the women in Kashmir. Lauding their contributions to the development of the country, PM Modi highlighted the positive impact of government initiatives on education and progress in the region.
During the video conferencing session, PM Modi engaged with Nazia Nazir, a milk vendor and VBSY beneficiary from Sheikh Pura, Kashmir.
Nazia went on to express the transformative changes in her village, crediting the Jal Jeevan Mission for addressing water scarcity and providing clean and safe tap water to homes. She extended gratitude for the benefits of LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana, quality education in government schools, and the extension of PMGKAY for another 5 years.
PM Modi, pleased with the positive changes narrated by Nazia, commended the women of Kashmir for their enthusiasm in utilizing government benefits for the betterment of their families and the nation. He stated, “Your enthusiasm is a source of strength for me,” emphasizing the positive message sent by the widespread support for VBSY in Jammu & Kashmir.
Expressing satisfaction at the nationwide embrace of developmental initiatives, PM Modi acknowledged and lauded the significant contributions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the country’s progress. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, aimed at ensuring the saturation of government flagship schemes, continues to make strides in reaching targeted beneficiaries across the country.
