Panchkula Book Fair wraps up with dialogue on ‘Mhara Hara Bhara Haryana’

Panchkula Book Fair held at Yavanika Town Park in Sector-5 Panchkula, a discussion was conducted on the theme ‘Mhara Hara Bhara Haryana.’

Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, serving as the chief guest during the closing ceremony, emphasized the enduring companionship of books, highlighting their role in fostering a culture of learning. He acknowledged the historical significance of book fairs in promoting the love for reading, especially among students.

Kaushal expressed the view that such fairs should not be limited to cities but extended to villages, fostering educational aspirations. He underscored the importance of staying close to books to lead a righteous life, as books guide individuals in distinguishing between right and wrong, ultimately contributing to societal progress.

PK Das, Chairman of Haryana Power Utilities, contended that books contribute to shaping better citizens and emphasized the significance of the younger generation reading the works of great minds for national development. Mohammad Shine, Managing Director of HPGCL, affirmed that good books aid individuals in making informed decisions. Dr. Saket Kumar, Managing Director of North Haryana, reiterated the irreplaceable role of books despite technological advancements.

Expressing gratitude during the closing ceremony, Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan conveyed his hope for the continued success of the book fair in the future. He highlighted the growing enthusiasm for books among students and extended appreciation to guests, students, and teachers by presenting them with books. Rajiv Ranjan, the program conductor, stressed that books impart valuable life lessons.

The fair’s successful coordination involved the contributions of several individuals, including OSD Sachin Goyal, Rita Rai, Deepa, Richa, Shivani, Vikalp Ranjan, Amit, Udbhav Ranjan Rai, Jyoti, Jitendra, Anjali, Lakshita, Tanisha, Priya, Rohit, Harsh of Government College Sector 14. UHBVN Director AK Raheja, Manmohan Mata, Manoj Kumar Vats, SC Yogesh Gupta, SD Jo Sachin Goyal, Chief Engineer Chandan also played crucial roles.
