No pvt school can increase Re 1 in this session, parents can buy books from anywhere: Mann

After taking over the power of the state after the massive victory of the AAP in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann is taking startling decisions one after the other. Now he has given signs of major reforms in the field of education. On Wednesday, he has taken two big decisions regarding schools.

Private schools won’t be able to charge arbitrary fees

Announcing two big decisions regarding education on Wednesday, CM Mann said that private schools will no longer be able to increase fees. In a video message, the CM said, “Private schools can’t increase fees in Punjab this year, parents can’t be asked to buy books, clothes from specialised shops.”

The Punjab government will not allow the schools to increase the fees in the admissions to be held in this session. Along with this, CM Mann has said in his decision that schools will not pressurise parents to buy books and clothes from any particular shop. Parents will be able to buy books, dresses from anywhere at their convenience.

Education was an important issue in elections

It is pertinent to mention that the issue of education has been pivotal behind the big victory of the AAP in Punjab. During the elections, Arvind Kejriwal and CM Mann had promised to improve government schools in the state. There was also talk of getting good education.

After becoming CM, many big decisions accepted

Earlier, CM Mann had announced to make 25,000 government jobs and 35,000 contract employees permanent. Anti-Corruption Helpline Number has also been issued to prevent corruption. He has also announced doorstep delivery of rations for the beneficiaries. Under this decision, the government itself will deliver rations to the homes of the cardholders.
