Haryana secured the National Junior Fencing Championship title for Women, amassing 28 points, while Manipur’s men’s team maintained their lead with 26 points. The 31st edition of the National Junior Fencing Championship for the year 2023-24 was organized by the Chhattisgarh Fencing Association.
During the competition’s final day, the team championship featured a match between Manipur and Haryana in the men’s Foil team event.
Manipur secured the gold medal with a 45-32 victory, while Haryana claimed the silver medal. Rajasthan and Gujarat shared the championship’s bronze medal.
In the women’s Epee event’s team championship, the final match occurred between Maharashtra and Karnataka. Maharashtra secured the gold medal with a 45-34 win. Chandigarh and Haryana secured the bronze medals.
Haryana competed against Maharashtra in the team championship of the women’s Sabre event, securing the gold medal with a 45-30 victory. Manipur and Kerala jointly claimed the bronze medal. The closing ceremony and prize distribution were graced by Sports Minister Tank Ram Verma as the chief guest, accompanied by Arang MLA Khusheant Saheb as the special guest.
