The CEO of a technology company was killed on Sunday morning in Mumbai’s Worli neighborhood after being struck by a speeding SUV, according to an official.

Rajalaxmi Ram Krishnan, the deceased, lived in the Dadar-Matunga neighborhood and was out for a morning jog at the time of the incident, according to the Worli police. She was returning from her daily exercise with her husband when the event happened around 6:30 am next to Worli Dairy, just a few meters from the Worli-Bandra sea link.
The car’s driver, Sumer Merchant, was also hurt and taken into custody, stated police.

In addition, the police have charged the driver under many provisions of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
