Minister Anil Vij takes swift action in Hisar harassment case

Haryana’s Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij, took stringent action on Tuesday after a woman from Hisar accused the DSP of sexual harassment. Sh. Vij directed the immediate transfer of the officer to another district and instructed the IG, Hisar, to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations and submit its report within 10 days.

Vij listened to public grievances from various districts during their visits to his residence in Ambala today. The woman from Hisar alleged that she had filed a complaint of sexual harassment against the DSP. Due to the lax approach of the Hisar Police and the inaccurate presentation of facts, the accused obtained bail from the High Court. In response, the Home Minister directed the transfer of the DSP to another district and instructed the formation of an SIT for investigation.

Vij also directed the SP Ambala to take stringent action in the case of the murder of a BJP booth president in Ambala Cantonment. The murder occurred on Monday night in Boh village after a dispute erupted between the victim and others involved. The Home Minister gave directions to concerned officers to take action on various public grievances.

The Haryana Valmiki Mahapanchayat expressed gratitude to the Government for naming Ayodhya Airport after Maharshi Valmiki as Shree Maharshi Valmiki International Airport. A delegation of the panchayat, led by its chairman Sh. Hari Kishan Tank, met Sh. Vij and expressed their gratitude. They mentioned that the decision to name the airport after Maharshi Valmiki has brought joy and excitement to the entire Valmiki community. Vij stated that the BJP government is committed to the welfare of all sections of society and emphasized that the decision to name the airport after Maharshi Valmiki is a historic one.
