Maha portfolios war rages

The tussle over the distribution of portfolios in Maharashtra seems not to be ending as the newly inducted eight ministers and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar are aiming at key portfolios like finance, power, revenue and to name a few.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is holding finance and power. Ajit Power feels that as he has come with senior faces like Chagan Bhujbal, Hasan Mushreef, Dilip Valse Patil, he and his colleagues should be awarded suitably.
On the other hand, Shinde camp MLAs fear step motherly status in distribution of portfolios in next expansion which may take place within a week before Monsoon session of the Maharashtra Assembly. Shinde camp Shiv Sena MLAs have made their stand clear to CM Shinde that if they are not accommodated with respect in next expansion, which is to happen before 17 July, then they will be forced to take the final call.
Shiv Sena MLA Shinde camp feels that it has been more than a year and they are still at bay in getting berth in the state Cabinet.
In order to resolve this stalemate, Eknath Shinde on Tuesday evening held a meeting at his official residence Varsha which was attended by Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Dy CM Ajit Pawar and disgruntled MLAs of Shinde Camp.
With uncertainty looming large, Uddhav Camp claims that many MLAs of Shinde camp are in constant touch with them.
Maharashtra Rajbhavan Durbar hall awaits another expansion soon to calm down heated politics in the government.
Sensing rising controversy, the BJP has asked Ajit Pawar to come to Delhi to sort of the portfolio issue. Sources say Ajit Pawar reached Delhi late night.
