‘Laughable when chaprasis give gyan about Congress’, Manish Tewari mocks Nabi Azad

On Saturday, Congress leader, Manish Tewari remarked that while he doesn’t want to weigh in on the merits of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s 5-page letter, in which he attacked Rahul Gandhi, it is “laughable” when “those who until yesterday were chaprasis of Congress leaders give gyan.” For lack of a better phrase, Manish Tewari stated, “It’s ludicrous.” “Our situation is critical. We have faced a challenging scenario.”  The Congress MP stated, “What transpired is terrible, unfortunate, and, in my opinion, probably avoidable.”

” I don’t want to go into the merits of Mr. Azad’s letter. He will be in the best position to explain why or what the context of the letter is. The letter speaks for itself. But suffice to say that at times it is strange, if not quixotic, that people who do not even have the capacity to fight a ward election want to talk about winning an election,” Manish Tewari said.

Speaking of G-23, of which Manish Tewari was a member, the Punjab MP claimed that 23 party officials wrote to Sonia Gandhi two years ago to express concern over the party’s state of affairs and urge her to take them seriously. “After that letter, Congress lost all of the Assembly polls. If Congress and India have similar thought processes, it appears that one or both of them have changed,” said Manish Tewari.

“A crack seems to have appeared in the coordination between India and Congress that had existed since 1885. Self-introspection was needed. Had the consensus of the meeting that was held at Sonia Gandhi’s residence on December 20, 2020 been executed, this situation would not have arrived,” Manish Tewari said.
