Infiltration bid by Pakistani drones foiled in Tarn Taran

Pakistan’s nefarious activities continue on the border of Punjab as it constantly tries to send illegal weapons and drugs through drones. On Sunday, two Pakistani drones were spotted twice at different times in Punjab’s border area of Tarn Taran. Following that, a large-scale search operation has been launched.

During the sighting, about 82 rounds of bullets and 10 rounds of illumination bombs were fired by the BSF. The incident is said to have occurred in the wee hours of Friday and Saturday night. The search operation was carried out by a special team of police and the Border Security Force. However, the BSF has not confirmed the incident.

On Friday night, at 10:12 pm, BOP Van Tara, PS Khalra Border Security Force teams of 103 Battalion were guarding the border when a suspicious object from the Pakistan side entered the Indian border area. The team became very alert after the sighting as they had earlier issued a warning. Using state-of-the-art technology, it was discovered that a Chinese-made drone from Pakistan had entered Indian Territory. The team used nine bullet rounds and four illumination bomb rounds. Later, the drone went back to Pakistan territory. After this, another infiltration attempt was made from Pakistan’s side at 1.10 am on Friday-Saturday midnight. This time, 73 rounds of bullets and 06 rounds of illumination bombs were fired.

The presence of the drone was recorded in the Indian territory for about four minutes. After receiving a befitting reply, the drone returned to Pakistani territory. Taking strict cognizance of both cases, a search operation is going on in the concerned area by the BSF and the police team. Senior officials have claimed that a major disclosure can be made by BSF soon.
