The second fatal Covid-19 wave is still around and experts expect a third wave which may add to the woes of the Haryana government.
In wake of the same, the health department is leaving no stone unturned to ensure proper arrangements keeping in view the possibility of the third wave.
Amid this, the director general of the education department has issued directions to all vice-chancellors and principals to reopen the educational institutions. The order states that the universities and colleges are allowed to be reopened for students with strict adherence of requisite social distancing norms and regular Covid-19 appropriate behavioral norms, as per the guidelines given in the SOPs released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI, and the Department of education, Haryana.
Regular sanitization of the premises will be required. The vice chancellors of residential universities in the state are requested to continue conducting classes online till 15 October 2021.
Decision to allow students to attend classes physically in residential universities shall be taken on 15 October 2021 after assessing the prevalent Covid situation then.
