Fugees rapper Pras Michel case update: Leonardo DiCaprio testifies at trial

Leonardo DiCaprio testified at the trial of Fugees rapper Pras Michel in a money laundering case. According to CNN, Leonardo testified on 3 April 2023 about his contacts with Pras and Jho Low, the Malaysian financier wanted in one of the world’s biggest corruption scandals.

Aside from Leonardo, other celebrities such as Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, and Mark Wahlberg may be called to testify during the trial. Leo is the first famous person to testify about his relationships with Jho Low and Pras Michel. Aside from these celebrities, former Trump White House officials are also potential witnesses.

According to CNN, the ‘Titanic’ star has not accused Pras of any wrongdoing and has only stated that he first met him at a ‘Fugee’ concert. Leo testified for an hour to show that Jho Low used stolen money to build powerful relationships with celebrities and politicians in order to gain favours and star power.

After being introduced by the stepson of former Malaysian Prime Minister ‘Najib Razak,’ Leo attended Jho Low’s birthday party in 2010. Leo and Low began attending events and going to nightclubs together, and they also celebrated New Year’s Eve together while Low was flying numerous celebrities to Australia and then back to Las Vegas.
