The joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm and joy across Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

A significant Eid congregation was held at the revered Hazratbal Shrine situated on the serene banks of Dal Lake in Kashmir, where thousands of devotees gathered to offer prayers. Former chief ministers of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state, Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti, were among those who attended the prayers at the shrine.

In addition to the gathering at Hazratbal, large congregations were observed in various parts of the valley, reflecting the spirit of unity and celebration.

In the Jammu region, similar congregations were organized, with men, women, and children coming together to offer prayers. At Jammu’s Eid Gah and Mecca Masjid, hundreds of faithful participated in the congregational prayers, marking the culmination of Ramadan with devotion and community spirit.

Earlier in the day, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people on this auspicious occasion. “The auspicious day inspires us to dedicate ourselves to the service of humanity. May the holy festival bring good health, happiness, and prosperity in everyone’s lives,” expressed LG Sinha, emphasizing the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr in fostering goodwill and solidarity among the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The festive spirit resonated across the region, underscoring the deep cultural and communal bonds cherished by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
