The Himachal Pradesh government is under continuous attack from the BJP regarding the 10 guarantees of the Congress, and in response to allegations from the BJP that the Congress has not fulfilled a single guarantee, Agriculture and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi has turned the tables, saying that the Congress party is systematically fulfilling all its guarantees.
He said that on the occasion of the 1-year celebration, the Chief Minister announced in January that women in Lahaul Spiti would receive a monthly pension of 1500, while the prices of milk have also increased by 6 rupees., however, due to the disaster, there has been a slight delay in fulfilling the guarantee, but the government will fulfil all guarantees in 5 years.
Jagat Singh Negi, the Minister of Agriculture and Revenue, accused the BJP, stating, “The previous BJP government drowned Himachal Pradesh in debt for five years, and development work came to a complete standstill. The BJP has worked to loot the treasury of Himachal. Debts owed to employees, which the BJP’s double-engine government did not fulfil. Meanwhile, Jagat Singh Negi, while sarcastically referring to the Rs 633 crore relief amount issued by the centre, said that the Himachal government demanded Rs 10,000 crores, but the centre released only Rs 633 crores, which is quite insufficient.
