Chandigarh’s NGO donates ambulance to boost medical services in Sangrur

Chandigarh-based non-profit organisation, Mission Sewa, has generously donated a fully-equipped ambulance to the Satellite Centre in Sangrur, in a special ceremony held at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
President of Mission Sewa, Chandigarh, Rajwinder Singh, along with the dedicated team, officially handed over the keys and documents of the ambulance to Prof. Vivek Lal, Director of PGIMER. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Ashok Kumar, Additional Medical Superintendent, Prof. Sameer Aggarwal from Orthopedics, Prof. Rakesh Kapoor from Radiotherapy, Varun Ahluwalia FA, and Dr. Ranjit Bhogal, along with other senior functionaries from PGIMER.

Expressing his gratitude, Prof. Vivek Lal praised Mission Sewa for their generous donation and highlighted the critical role the ambulance would play in saving lives, especially considering the high patient load at the Satellite Centre. He urged more philanthropists and NGOs to follow suit and contribute tangible assets, emphasizing the impact of such acts of kindness.

“As part of this city, we are committed to serving the poor and needy patients who visit PGIMER,” stated Mr. Rajwinder Singh. “We have observed that fast and quick shifting of a patient to the hospital in case of emergency can be a life-saving factor. Therefore, Mission Sewa decided to strengthen the healthcare system by donating a well-equipped ambulance for patient care at PGI.”

Mission Sewa, a Chandigarh-based non-profit organization, is dedicated to serving the community and making a positive impact on society. Their initiatives span various sectors, including healthcare, education, and the environment, aiming to improve the lives of those in need.

The organization, led by individuals like Jasan Singla (Senior Vice President), Sukhwant Grewal (Vice President), Gagandeep Singh (General Secretary), and Gurwinder Singh from the USA, remains committed to its goal of positively influencing society and supporting those requiring assistance. The donation of the ambulance is a significant step towards enhancing healthcare facilities at the Satellite Centre in Sangrur, with the ultimate goal of saving and improving numerous lives in the region.
