2 robbers loot money exchange branch owner at gunpoint

CHANDIGARH: In a scene straight out of a typical Bollywood movie, two robbers carrying a gun entered a Western Union money exchange branch on Monday afternoon, looted cash of Rs 3 lakh from the owner and vanished into thin air.

The incident took place at the Sector-27 Chandigarh branch of the Western Union money exchange around 2:30 pm. The case has been registered in the Sector-26 police station. The complainant Sanjeev Kalia informed that he had returned to his office after withdrawing Rs 2.80 lakh from the bank.

 Two persons with their faces covered entered his office and demanded money from me. One of them was holding a pistol.

They asked for a laptop bag and kept the money inside the bag and escaped from the spot. Police were informed about the incident and investigation was also started.

Various teams including the crime branch also reached the spot. As per the information, the robbers have been captured on the CCTV cameras outside the shop.
