According to authorities, a 17-year-old kid allegedly axed his mother to death in the Maharashtra district of Palghar after discovering her messaging someone on her cell phone.
According to them, the incident occurred late Sunday night in the Parole area of Vasai township. The youngster questioned his mother, Sonali Gogra (35), and the two frequently argued over it, according to inspector Ashok Kamble of Mandvi police station.
On Sunday night, while eating supper, the youngster became irritated when he observed his mother contacting someone on her phone. According to the official, he then brought out an axe and allegedly whacked her with it.
He said that the other family members were not present at the time of the incident. He said the critically injured woman was transferred to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Bhiwandi, where doctors declared her dead and the body was submitted for a postmortem.
According to the police, a case was filed against the accused, who has yet to be apprehended, under Indian Penal Code Section 302 (murder).
