WILL RAHUL GANDHI’S YATRA PAY OFF?

Preparations are on fast track for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Uttar Pradesh, Former Union Minister and yatra coordinator in Uttar Pradesh Salman Khurshid, state Congress president Brijlal Khabri and others did visit the villages in various districts to mobilise supporters for the march. But SP president Akhilesh Yadav, BSP supremo Mayawati and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary are likely to not be the part of the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra and will surely skip with splintering hopes of a united Opposition force against the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. Both the SP and the RLD have given the stance that their leaders have their own engagements and are focusing on strengthening their respective parties. 

RAHUL WEARING T-SHIRT IN BITING COLD WEATHER! 

The photos, of the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi walking around in a T-shirt in biting cold in Delhi has led to a buzz, with one side calling it a gimmick, while the other taking Gandhi as a superhuman. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared a light-hearted and amicable moment with reporters when they asked why the Gandhi scion, who was seen walking along the streets in a T-shirt in extreme Delhi winter, does not feel cold. Rahul said: “Why is there so much disturbance because of the T-shirt? I do not wear a sweater because I am not scared of winter. I am thinking to wear a sweater once I start feeling cold.” 

RAHUL GANDHI TO BE OPPOSITION’S PM FACE IN 2024? 

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar consented that he had no objection to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi becoming the Opposition’s prime ministerial candidate in 2024, but strikes out that it would be better if the decision being taken by all parties together. Nitish met various leaders in September including Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Janata Dal Secular leader H.D. Kumaraswamy, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI general secretary D. Raja, NCP leader Sharad Pawar and Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav.
