Opp bloc’s creation shows Cong can’t fight BJP on its own: Gaurav Bhatia

The very creation of the Opposition bloc I.N.D.I.A is an admission by the Congress that it is incapable of fighting the BJP on its own, said BJP spokesman Gaurav Bhatia, who claimed the BJP would return to power in 2024 with more Lok Sabha seats than last time’s 2019 and NDA’s combined tally may cross 400.
“Nobody can stop an idea whose time has come. And that idea is India, that idea is Narendra Modi,” said Bhatia at the Festival of Ideas, organised here by NewsX, TSG and India News that are a part of the ITV Network.
Hitting out at the Congress and the erstwhile UPA coalition for its alleged corrupt background, the BJP leader said the earlier UAP government had become notorious for scams like 2G, coal scam and CWG scam.
Taking on Rahul Gandhi for his remarks that China had thrashed the Indian Army, he asked, “How can he say that the Chinese beat up Indian soldiers?
Nobody has the guts and nobody can beat the Indian Army.”
Bhatia said the Congress leader claims that China has encroached upon our land and is not willing to believe Prime Minister Narendra Modi that not an inch of Indian territory has been taken over by China.
“Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have said no part of Indian territory has been taken over by China but Rahul does not want to believe them,” Bhatia said.
The BJP leader also hit out at the double standards of the I.N.D.I.A coalition and Rahul Gandhi by alleging that he has no problem choosing INDIA as the name for the Opposition coalition but has no problems when people raise slogans like “Bharat tere tukde hongein”.
Highlighting Modi’s popularity, he said the people want to know the face of the Opposition bloc’s leader. “Will it be Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal or Rahul Gandhi?”
