The official teaser for the upcoming thriller series “Dahaad” was presented on Wednesday. Sonakshi posted the teaser to Instagram with the following caption: , “She’s ready to fight for what’s right… are you? #DahaadOnPrime, Trailer out on May 3.”
Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. The lead actors in “Dahaad,” are Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah. From May 12, the series will be available for streaming on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video. Sonakshi Sinha makes her digital acting debut in the series, in which she plays a a fierce lady cop, who strives to solve a gruesome murder case, with an unsuspecting criminal on the loose.
The series is an 8-part crime drama that follows Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati and her colleagues in a small town police station. It all starts when a series of women are mysteriously found dead in public bathrooms, Sub-Inspector Anjali Bhaati is tasked with the investigation. At first, the deaths appear to be clear-cut suicides but as the cases unravel, Anjali begins to suspect that a serial killer is on the loose. At first, the murders seem to be obvious suicides. As she gathers evidence before another innocent woman loses her life, a skilled criminal and an underdog cop engage in a gripping game of cat and mouse.
On May 3, creators will release the series’ official trailer. ‘Dahaad’ was the Entertainment & Tiger Baby’s second Berlinale showcase after ‘Gully Boy’ in 2019. The criminal thriller debuted to a thundering reception from the spectators who saw the global premiere, competing against seven programmes from around the world. Meanwhile, Sonakshi will also be seen in the upcoming action thriller film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
