The BJP is scared of the I.N.D.I.A alliance, says Congress president Kharge.
At the farmer’s conference in Bhilwara, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot targeted the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’, saying that they are failing. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge also reached the conference in Bhilwara.
After becoming the Congress President, Kharge addressed a public meeting in Rajasthan for the first time. He said that the Rajasthan government has always worked in the interest of the common people. He said that there is nothing in the ‘Lal Diary’. He stated, “The BJP tries to scare by showing it. They keep their own diary.”
Mallikarjun Kharge said, “The BJP will not do anything. They will only abuse Congress. They keep asking us what Congress did in 70 years. Congress has ruled for only 53 years. Who made the farmers the owners of the land in Rajasthan? Congress did. Land reform was done here by Congress. Indira Gandhi ended the salaries of kings and maharajas. BJP talks about the family rule. Who are they talking for? Rahul Gandhi walked from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in the ‘Bharat Jodo’ journey. He understood the pain of the people by walking. When we say ‘Bharat Jodo,’ they say ‘Bharat Todo’.”
The Congress National President said, “The BJP is scared of the I.N.D.I.A (Indian National Congress) alliance. Now they are calling it ‘Bharat’ instead of INDIA. It is written in the constitution – INDIA THAT IS BHARAT. We are already talking about ‘Bharat Jodo’ (Unite India). Rajasthan is a model of poverty alleviation and social justice. You have to work for this model.”
“The BJP has no right to rule to just abuse the opposition. They do not talk about the basic problems of the people. Our people are being scared. ED and CBI raids are being conducted. I have been in politics for 57 years. I have been an MLA, and MP for 52 years. I have only lost one election out of 13. Sometimes they use the RSS, and sometimes religion. How many BJP-RSS leaders went to jail for independence? Does anyone have an account? No BJP leader fought for the country’s independence. Did Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister that he is being abused? After Rajiv Gandhi, no one from the Gandhi family made it to the government. Still, the Gandhi family is being abused,” he said.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, “Kharge Sahab played a very big role in the opposition’s grand alliance. By forming an alliance with INDIA, the opposition parties are advancing Kharge. Why is it becoming difficult for Modi with the opposition alliance? Sonia Gandhi was made the Congress President. Then after some time, the Congress government was formed. Now Kharge Sahab has been made the President, and the beginning has been made. After him, Congress governments have been formed in Himachal, Karnataka. Now Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan need to be won.”
Gehlot said that talk of ‘One Nation, One Election’ is going on, but the opposition can not be trusted. He added, “The opposition has ask why the central government has called a special session of Parliament. The opposition has not been told why the Parliament session was called. No one can say in which direction the country is going, in which direction it will go.”
The Chief Minister said, “BJP’s journeys are failing. Excellent work has been done in our government. People are saying this because of these works that the government is repeating. BJP’s four journeys are going on. Big leaders of the BJP are coming, but the journey is failing. You all are watching.”
Before this, Pradesh Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said, “The Modi government asked what did Congress do for the country’s Independence? I say Jawaharlal Nehru brought the ‘Green Revolution.’ Modi government did nothing for the farmers.”
