Stroke is a life-threatening disease that occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. Brain cells begin to die within minutes.
The NCD Screening Camp was a success in raising awareness of NCDs and stroke, and in identifying staff members who are at risk of developing these diseases. Early detection and treatment of NCDs and stroke can help prevent serious complications and improve the quality of life.
