A 61-year-old lawyer’s husband has been arrested for allegedly murdering her at their Noida bungalow. Nitin Nath Sinha, who has now been apprehended, allegedly hid her wife’s body in the bungalow’s storeroom for more than 36 hours before police traced down his phone and apprehended him.
Renu Sinha’s body was discovered in the bathroom of their residence in Noida Sector 30 on Saturday. Police were notified after the lawyer’s brother’s calls to her which went unanswered for two days. When the police arrived at their home, they discovered the woman’s body.
Sinha’s phone was monitored, and the last location was their bungalow. They later discovered him hiding in the storeroom and detained him. According to police, the lawyer’s murder was motivated by a conflict between the couple over the sale of their bungalow. They claimed that Nath wanted to sell the house and had even taken a token money from a potential buyer. Ms Sinha was unwilling to sell the bungalow. According to the authorities, this disagreement resulted in frequent clashes between the couple.
