Late BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s brother dismissed allegations against Haryana MLA Gopal Kanda’s involvement in Phogat’s death on Friday.
“No, there is nothing like that,” Rinku said.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Sonali Phogat passed away on 23 August after suffering from a heart attack in Goa. At the St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in North Goa Phogat was declared dead.
Earlier on Wednesday, the BJP leader’s family raised questions about her death and suspected foul play in the matter. Sonali Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka alleges that her sister Phogat was raped and murdered by her assistant Sudhir Sangwan and his friend Sukhwinder.
“Phogat’s PA raped her after adding drugs to her meals. She had no plans to come to Goa. She was brought as per a pre-planned conspiracy. There was no movie shoot. Two rooms in the hotel had been booked for two days. Film shooting was supposed to happen on August 24 but rooms were only booked for August 21-22,” Dhaka claimed.
Moreover, new reports claimed that Gopal Kanda is helping Sangwan and Sukhwinder but Dhaka denied all the allegations.
Brother of Sonali Phogat Rinku Dhaka claimed that the post-mortem report of her sister showed four injuries and poison as the cause of death.
“A probe should be done as per the filed FIR. The post-mortem report says that her (Sonali Phogat) body has marks of injury,” Dhaka said.
However, the Goa police also registered a murder case against two persons on Thursday.
The Inspector General of Police OS Bishnoi said, “Murder case registered against two persons in Anjuna Police Station. The probe in the case is underway. The deceased’s brother has mentioned the involvement of her PA and one other person. Post-mortem report expected in 1-2 hours. The victim’s body will reach Delhi tonight.”
However, Sonali Phogat contested against Kuldeep Bishnoi from Adampur in Haryana during the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019. The popularity of Phogat increased after becoming a Tik-Tok star and a contestant on Bigg Boss.
