Nita Ambani, the chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, was spotted visiting one of Bengaluru’s most prestigious luxury textile stores, The House of Angadi, on the evening of December 15. The renowned philanthropist and businesswoman made her entrance into the store amidst tight security, in a simple yet elegant dark blue co-ord set. Videos shared on social media show her greeting bystanders with folded hands before stepping inside the historic luxury textile boutique.
The House of Angadi, which has a rich 600-year-old heritage, is known for its exquisite collection of handloom sarees, textiles, and curated ethnic wear. Specialising in Kanjeevaram silk sarees and custom bridal wear, the store blends traditional Indian weaves with modern designs. Located in the heart of South Bengaluru, the 18,000 square feet store is helmed by K. Radharaman, heir to the family’s storied business.

Though the store has long been an institution for fine textiles, it gained wider attention when Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone chose an Angadi saree for her Mangalorean wedding in Italy in 2018. The actress also wore an Angadi creation at her Bengaluru reception, adding to the store’s growing reputation among India’s elite.
During her visit, Nita Ambani was seen shopping for sarees at the store, further cementing The House of Angadi’s standing among India’s luxury shopping destinations. Following her visit, the store’s official Instagram page shared a post thanking the businesswoman for her patronage and warm presence. In a sweet gesture, Nita Ambani also left a note in the store’s visitor’s book, praising the store for showcasing India’s rich heritage. Her comment read, “Wonderful to be here and experience our Indian heritage.”
