This case is connected to the Jalalabad blast incident that occurred on September 15, 2021. An explosion involving a motorcycle took place at the Punjab National Bank branch in Fazilka’s Jalalabad city. A tiffin bomb was used in the attack. Subsequently, the NIA launched an investigation, revealing Lakhbir Singh Rode’s significant role in orchestrating this blast. Rode had been sending weapons and explosives, including tiffin bombs, to densely populated areas in Punjab with the aim of spreading fear among the public.
