The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Haryana and Punjab on Thursday morning. NIA team reached the house of Ankit Sersa and Priyavrat Fauji, the main accused in the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case and sharp shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in Sonipat. Along with searching their house, interrogated the family members.
NIA has also conducted raids in Jhajjar and Palwal. Along with this, NIA team also reached the house of gangster Harry Maud in Punjab.
The shooter who shot the Punjabi singer, Ankit, is a resident of village Sersa in Sonipat and Priyavrat Fauji is a resident of village Garhi Sisana. NIA officials along with the local police raided the houses of both of them at 5 in the morning. This raid continued till around 7 in the morning.
Even before this, NIA had raided their houses thrice. Besides, local police also keep patrolling these villages continuously. However, the family members are not ready to tell anything for the investigation at present.
Ankit Sersa has studied only till 9th class. Who had also got his photograph clicked after writing the name of Sidhu Moosewala with bullets before the murder. It was Ankit who went closest to Sidhu Moosewala and fired the bullets. Police investigation revealed that he fired a series of bullets at Moosewala with a pistol from his both hands. After the murder he fled to Gujarat. When he came back Delhi from Gujarat, he was arrested.
Ankit Sersa first came in contact with Lawrence gang henchman Monu Dagar. After this, Monu Dagar made Ankit meet a person named Anmol. Through Anmol he got connected with Lawrence Bishnoi Gaines. Before the Sidhu Moosewala murder, two cases of attempt to murder were also registered against Ankit in Rajasthan.
Ankit has four sisters and one elder brother. He is the youngest among six siblings. Three sisters are married.
NIA has raided the house of Sarpanch in village Karman of Hodal sub-division of Palwal. Sarpanch Saroj’s brother-in-law Anil is said to have links with gangster Neeraj Firozpuria of Bambiha gang. The NIA team reached Anil’s house at 5.30 am on Thursday. The team is interrogating the house.
NIA has raided the house of gangster Harry Maud in Bathinda. At present no one is allowed to go in and out of the house.
In the case of murder of Sidhu Moosewala, NIA team raided the house of Kuldeep alias Kashish, resident of village Beri, Jhajjar. NIA interrogated the family members for about an hour.
