PM MODI ASKS PEOPLE TO VISIT TULIP GARDEN IN JAMMU & KASHMIR

Praising the Tulip Garden of Kashmir in a series of tweets on Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed people to go as tourists to Jammu and Kashmir and enjoy the hospitality of locals there.

Tulip garden, which will be open for the tourists from Thursday, has been declared as Asia’s largest Tulip. The current spring season is picking up in Kashmir valley and the appeal of the Prime Minister to the tourists is going to give a push to the tourism industry here.

This biggest spring attraction of Kashmir tourism was laid by former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and besides it there is another garden for the spring lovers in Srinagar known as Badamveir (Almond Garden) where hundreds of almond trees are in full blossom during the current spring season.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked in detail about the beauty of Kashmir and about the hospitality of the people and appealed to tourists to go to Kashmir and enjoy this spring season.

“Tomorrow, 25th March is special for Jammu and Kashmir. A majestic tulip garden on the foothills of the Zabarwan mountains will open for visitors. The Garden will see over 15 lakh flowers of more than 64 varieties in bloom,” Modi said in one of the tweets.

“Whenever you get the opportunity, do visit Jammu and Kashmir and witness the scenic Tulip festival. In addition to the tulips, you will experience the warm hospitality of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he further tweeted.
