Jaguar Land Rover India has officially launched the new and enhanced Range Rover Evoque in the Indian market. The SUV gets a fair number of changes when it comes to design and features, and also gets updated tech. The New Range Rover Evoque is priced starting at ₹67.90 lakh, ex-showroom.

Design
The new Evoque gets a subtle evolution of its reductive exterior design, with a coupe-like silhouette, floating roof, continuous waistline and flush deployable door handles. The latest family grille design now provides a unified look across the Range Rover brand.On the face, you now have new super-slim headlamps along with new daytime running light graphics. The SUV also gets a new wheel design with a diamond-turned finish. New Evoque’s colour palette now features tribeca blue and corinthian bronze, while contrast roof options include narvik black and corinthian bronze.

Interiors
A clean centre console design features a tactile new gear shifter in the cabin, while Pivi Pro infotainment is accessed via a new 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen. It is also now situated higher and closer to the driver and liberates more stowage space.The system is compatible with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while wireless charging is also provided. Other features in the cabin include a panoramic roofand an enhancedair purifier when compared to earlier.In addition to traditional leathers,new detailing including moonlight chrome has been provided on the steering wheel, centre console trim and air vents.This complements new trim finishers, which include shadow grey ash veneer.
Controls for the climate, seating and audio volume are always visible via new sidebars, featuring multi-functional sliding controls on either side. These virtual buttons provide immediate access to frequently used items, including individual temperature controls for the front occupants, cameras, navigation and audio volume.At the beginning of every journey, drivers are presented with a pre-drive panel for fast access to commonly used features, such as window demisters and heated and cooled seats.

Engine
The New Range Rover Evoque is available in Dynamic SE with two powertrain options.The 2.0 litre petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 246 bhp and 365 Nm of peak torque while a 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine provides 201 bhp and 430 Nm. These work with a mild-hybrid electric setup which enhances efficiency and responsiveness by using a Belt integrated Starter Generator to harvest energy that is normally lost under braking and deceleration. It is stored in a 48 V lithium-ion battery beneath the load space and is redeployed when accelerating, delivering a more refined operation of the fuel-saving start-stop system.

You also get Adaptive Dynamics that ensures suspension stiffness is optimised for the driving conditions, improving ride comfort and handling.Terrain Response 2 system is there too and allows the driver to adjust vehicle settings to suit the driving environment, with a choice of Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Dynamic and Automatic modes. Each alters the calibration of the engine, transmission, all-wheel drive system, suspension and stability control systems for optimum traction and composure.
