The recently appointed Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini is poised to demonstrate his majority today in the wake of a substantial reorganization within the BJP. A routine floor test is scheduled for 11 am today to validate the new leadership.

Nayab Singh Saini, taking over from Manohar Lal Khattar, is anticipated to participate in a routine floor test scheduled for today . This process will ascertain the credibility of the new leadership following the dissolution of the BJP’s alliance with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). Nayab Saini, hailing from the OBC community, assumed the position of BJP Haryana’s state president last year.

As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) terminated its alliance with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) in Haryana, Nayab Saini has replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as the Chief Minister.

Nayab Singh Saini joins the tradition set by three prominent figures in Haryana politics – Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Bansi Lal, and Om Prakash Chautala – who previously took the oath as the Haryana Chief Minister without being assembly members. According to the constitutionally mandated period of six months, Saini can hold office until September 11 without winning an assembly seat.

Manohar Lal Khattar, along with his cabinet ministers, resigned earlier today after a meeting with Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. Nayab Singh Saini, hailing from the OBC community, assumed the role of the state president of BJP Haryana last year. Khattar’s resignation followed the rupture of the BJP alliance with JJP, led by Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, who had 10 MLAs in the Haryana Assembly. Khattar submitted his resignation letter to Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Tuesday.
