Samsung to launch Galaxy M31s in India this month

Samsung India is gearing up to launch its next mid-range smartphone Galaxy M31s which is the successor to Galaxy M31 later this month for nearly Rs 20,000. The new Galaxy M31s will be available on Amazon as well as Samsung’s other retail platforms from August, sources told IANS on Wednesday. Galaxy M31s is likely to come with Samsung’s proprietary Super AMOLED Infinity O display, currently seen in the company’s flagship range of smartphones. Galaxy M31s will house a 6000mAh battery and 64MP quad rear camera, according to the sources. Samsung launched Galaxy M series for young Indian consumers in early 2019. Over the last year and half, the company has rolled out eight smartphones under the Galaxy M brand. The success of Galaxy M smartphones in India has helped Samsung increase its market share in the online segment, according to analysts.

 Sony launches new wireless speaker range in India

Sony India on Tuesday expanded its Extra Bass wireless speaker range at a starting price of Rs 8,990. The speakers support ‘Extra Bass’ sound which is achieved on the XB wireless speaker line-up through Sony’s renowned audio technology. The SRS-XB43, SRS-XB33 and SRS-XB23 speakers will be available from 16 July. The series has an IP67 rating which makes the devices dustproof, rustproof and waterproof. The speakers come with built-in Google Assistant. The SRS-XB43 and SRS-XB33 claims to support 24 hours of music playback. The SRS-XB23 supports up to 12 hours of battery backup which can support Extra bass Mode playback for up to 10 hours, the company claimed. The speakers can be charged using the latest Type-C USB and can support battery charging by connecting one’s smartphone via USB Type-A.

Realme launches budget smartphone for Rs 7,499 in India

Chinese smartphone-maker Realme on Tuesday launched its budget phone Realme C11 with 5000mAh battery and MediaTek Helio G35 processor for Rs 7,499 in the Indian market. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ mini-drop fullscreen display and offers a 20:9 screen aspect ratio. The smartphone will be up for sale on 22 July on realme.com, Flipkart.com, and selected partner stores. The mini-drop on the screen is 30.9 per cent smaller than the normal dewdrop, making the screen to body ratio as high as 88.7 per cent. The device houses a 13MP AI dual camera which features the first super nightscape mode in the segment. The smartphone runs on Realme UI based on Android 10 and comes with 2GB RAM along with 32GB internal storage. In addition, the smartphone maker also launched a 30W dart charge 10000mAh Power bank priced at Rs 1,999.

Amazfit Verge Lite with amoled screen, GPS relaunched

Wearable brand Huami on Monday relaunched Amazfit Verge Lite smartwatch with AMOLED screen and GPS in India for Rs 4,999. The smartwatch was initially launched in the country at Rs 6,999 last year. The device comes with advanced functionalities like the lasting battery life of up to 20 days, 1.3-inch AMOLED display with the anti-fingerprint reinforced Corning Gorilla Glass. it includes more features like GPS enabled + GLONASS dual positioning, multi-sport tracking, 24 hours heart rate monitor, music control, app notifications, set up alarms, event reminders and more. The company last month launched Amazfit Stratos 3 smartwatch in India for Rs 13,999. The watch is powered with a dual chip and dual operating system and offers 14-day battery life.

Fujifilm launches sleek smartphone printer

 Japanese photography and imaging major Fujifilm on Monday launched its latest smartphone printer Instax Mini Link in the Indian market for Rs 9,999. The instant printer is available for purchase via Amazon, Flipkart and leading offline stores. “The Instax mini Link also provides users the access to a number of customization tools to enhance smartphone images, such as rotation, filter selection and brightness adjustments,” the company said in a statement. The ‘Instax Mini Link’ is the latest and lightest entry in the world of smartphone photo printers. The device can print photos in approximately 12 seconds and is available in three colour variants — ash white, dusky pink and dark denim.
