New abbreviated designations assigned to government officials

After the expansion of the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini cabinet, the notification pertaining to the names of designations, short or abbreviated designations of Chief Minister/Ministers/Ministers of State of Haryana in order of seniority and the department allotted to them has been issued.

Further in a bid to avoid any kind of inconvenience, short name or abbreviated designatios of the concerned ministers will be taken in consideration in terms of official departmental work and proceeding. Following the same, Nayab Saini , the Chief Minister (CM) has the charge of maximum 14 departments including Home, Revenue and Disaster Management, Excise & Taxation, Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Foreign Cooperation, Administration of Justice, Mines & Geology, General Administration, Criminal Investigation (C.I.D.), Personnel & Training, Raj Bhawan Affairs, Law and Legislative along with departments not allotted to any other minister. The Agriculture Minister (AM) Kanwar Pal Gurjar has Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Fisheries, Parliamentary Affairs, Hospitality and Heritage & Tourism departments. Industry Minister (IM) Mulchand Sharma has Industries & Commerce, LabourFood, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Elections departments.

Energy Minister (ENM) Ranjit Singh who was given a berth in the Monahar Lal-led state government earlier, has been given Energy and Jails departments. Likewise, Finance Minister (FM) Jai Parkash Dalal holds the charge of Finance, Institutional Finance and Credit Control departments, Planning, Town & Country Planning and Urban Estates and Archives departments. Public Health Engineering Minister (PHEM Dr. Banwari Lal, Public Health Engineering Minister has the responsibility of Public Health Engineering, Public Works (Buildings and Roads) and Architecture departments. Health Minister (HM) Dr. Kamal Gupta has the charge of Health, Medical Education and Research, Ayush and Civil Aviation departments. Similarly, Minister of State for Education (MSE) Seema Trikha, Minister of State for School Education has the charge of School Education and Higher Education (both Independent Charge) departments while Mahipal Dhanda, Minister of State for Development & Panchayats (MD&P) has the charge of Development and Panchayats and Co-operation (both Independent Charge) departments.

Ascem Goel, Minister of State for Transport (MT) holds the charge of Transport and Women and Child Development (both Independent Charge) departments. Dr. Abhay Singh Yadav, Minister of State for Irrigation & Water Resources (MIWR) has Irrigation & Water Resources and Sainik and Andh Sainik Welfare (Independent Charge) while Subhash Sodha, Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies (,MULB) has charge of Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Housing for All ( both Independent Charge) departments. Bishamber Singh, Minister of State for Social Justice (MS&ASW) , Empowerment, SCs &BCs Welfare and Antyodaya has the charge of Social Justice, Empowerment, SC & BCs Welfare and Antyodaya (SEWA) and Printing & Stationery (both Independent Charge) departments and Sanjay Singh, Minister of State for Environment (MEF&W) has the charge of Forests & Wildlife and Sports (both Independent Charge) departments.
