Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said during the annual budget announcement that India is aiming at becoming a zero carbon emission economy by 2070 and a total of Rs 19,700 crores have been dedicated by the finance ministry to this initiative. This transition of India to a low carbon country is on the aim list of the government.
