A Nepalese protestor has lost his life in clashes with police in Lalitpur, Balkumari, Kathmandu district, in Balkumari, Lalitpuron Friday afternoon, police said. “We have confirmed that a protestor has passed away after being hit by teargas canisters,” said Neelam Karki, Superintendent of Police, via telephone.

On Friday afternoon, a group of protesters clashed with the Nepalese police after set fire to the vehicle of Nepal’s Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala. The police then resorted to batons, teargas shells and bombs to control the mob.

Protesters took to the streets over the Employment Permit System (EPS) issue and later torched Minister Jwala’s vehicle (Pa 2 Jha 5861) at Balkumari in Lalitpur on Friday afternoon.

After more than an hour of clashes, the situation in the area adjacent to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu showed that the protesters were nowhere to be seen.
