Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, recently revealed her career aspirations during the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024. In a session titled “Beyond the Legacy: Gen Z for a Just and Equal India,” she emphasized her commitment to making a difference rather than following in the footsteps of her family’s illustrious acting career.
Navya made it clear that her true interests lie in social impact and business. She stated, “Not just me; everyone has a legacy to carry forward. I am most passionate about social impact and business. That’s where I see my future and my efforts lie.” She believes in the importance of individual contributions to society, expressing her desire to help make India a better place.
Discussing her privileged background, Navya acknowledged that her reality differs from many women in India. She stated, “I am grateful for all the opportunities that are my reality today. That is not the reality for many people in India.” Her awareness of privilege drives her motivation to create positive change.
Navya also shared her thoughts on social media, highlighting its potential as a platform for positive change. “Social media has been a great platform because it’s given voice to a lot of people,” she said. While she faces social media trolling, she takes a calm approach: “I don’t take offense from anything that people say. I don’t give too much thought to what people say negatively.”
Navya Naveli Nanda’s focus on business and social impact showcases her desire to carve her own path, independent of her family’s legacy. With a commitment to using her platform for good, she sets a positive example for the younger generation.
