Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar came together and the two leaders took center stage during his first trip to Bihar after the JD(U) rejoined the BJP-led NDA. While Modi promised to generate a “flood of development with the double-engine government,” Nitish vowed to stay in the NDA forever.

“PM Modi, you had also arrived earlier, ‘par idhar hum gayab ho gaye the.” At an Aurangabad NDA rally, CM Nitish declared, “Hum phir aapke saath hai (I disappeared (from NDA) for some time but now I am with you).”

“I promise not to sporadically go here and there. Aap hi ke saath hum rahenge,” Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar remarked.

In Aurangabad, PM Modi presented development projects totaling ₹21,400 crore. Additionally, he spoke at a public gathering in Ratanwa village.

Attendees at the programme included various Union ministers, Governor Rajendra V Arlekar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Deputy Chief Ministers Samat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.

Speaking at the public gathering, Prime Minister Modi declared: “Bihar would flourish only with the state’s poor will improve…Thus, the goal of our government is to empower all the underprivileged, Dalit, Adivasi, and destitute people.

“Dynamic politics in Bihar is moving towards its end since NDA has become stronger,” Prime Minister Modi stated while slamming the opposition. “Even though a person may receive a political party and job from their parents, they would never, ever bring up the contributions made by their parents. I’ve heard that the leaders of their party aren’t prepared to run for the Lok Sabha. Currently, they are searching for Rajya Sabha seats,” he added in a dig at political dynasts.

Nitish Kumar left the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan in February 2024 and rejoined his former ally, the BJP.

“I am confident that the NDA coalition will win more than 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls,” said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. “I promise the PM that I will stay in the NDA indefinitely.”
