India’s Youth Must Lead in Politics: PM Modi’s Vision for 2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for youth to take leadership roles in all aspects of nation-building, particularly in politics. He pointed out that politics should no longer be controlled by those who view it as their “family’s property.”

Youth Should Lead Politics

In a virtual address at a program organized by Ramakrishna Math in Gujarat, PM Modi stated, “We need to prepare youth for leadership in every field of nation-building. Today, our youth should lead the country in politics, just as they are leading in technology and other fields. Therefore, we cannot leave politics to those who treat it as their family’s property. As a result, we are initiating a new beginning in 2025.”

Young Leaders Dialogue in 2025

The Prime Minister also announced the launch of the Young Leaders Dialogue, scheduled for January 12, 2025, in Delhi, coinciding with Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary and Youth Day. He said, “On 12 January 2025, we will organize the Young Leaders Dialogue in Delhi. Around 2,000 selected youth will participate in person, and youth across India will join via technology. The event will discuss India’s development from the perspective of its youth.”

Ramakrishna Math’s Role

Further, PM Modi praised Ramakrishna Math for being a source of inspiration and strength. He described it as embodying the energy of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. “Whenever possible, I try to visit and connect with you,” he shared.

India’s Progress and Future Vision

Lastly, the Prime Minister spoke about India’s progress, driven by its rich knowledge tradition. He stated, “We are embarking on a new journey of Amritkaal. Our goal is a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ and we are committed to fulfilling this vision within the set timeframe. Today, India’s youth has demonstrated its capabilities on the global stage.”
