CM Pinarayi Vijayan : Kerala will become fully sports literate state in 10 years

CM Pinarayi Vijayan : Kerala will become fully sports literate state in 10 years

Kerala will become a fully sports-literate state in ten years, according to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala. Speaking at the opening of the EK Nayanar Indoor Stadium, Concert Metastadium, and Clock Room Complex in Muzhapilangad Village Panchayat constructed through the Chief Minister’s Asset Development Fund who is also a Dharmadam MLA.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said, “A better sports culture requires better sports literacy. Sports culture can be formed by providing basic sports education to people irrespective of urban and rural areas.”
The Chief Minister said that the government had formulated a sports policy with an emphasis on the concept of health for all.
He said, “To achieve this goal, basic sports facilities should be developed. 1500 crore projects will be implemented for this. As a part of this, a sports council has been formed at the local self-government level.”

According to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, promoting sports literacy is a difficult task that needs the help of athletes, coaches, the media, and everyone else. The event was presided over by Dr. V Sivadasan, MP. The Chief Minister honored Mithun, a local resident and captain of the Santosh Trophy football team. The report was presented by KK Dilip Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer for Thalassery Block Panchayat. An amount of Rs 1.26 crore from the MLA Asset Development Fund for the years 2017–18, 2018–19, and 2019–20 was used to build the indoor stadium. Here, there were three shuttle courts, a volleyball court, 250-seat galleries, restrooms, electricity, and a water system.
