The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a warning to Kangana Ranaut, the Lok Sabha MP from Mandi, regarding her recent comments on the farmers’ protests. The party clarified that Ranaut was “neither permitted nor authorised” to speak on the BJP’s policy matters.

BJP’s Clarification

On Monday, the BJP expressed its disagreement with Ranaut’s remarks, which compared the farmers’ protests in India to “Bangladesh-like anarchy.” During a promotional event for her upcoming film Emergency, Ranaut stated, “Outside forces are planning to destroy us with the help of insiders. If it wouldn’t have been for the foresight of our leadership, they would have succeeded.”

Party’s Directive to Ranaut

Following her controversial statements, the BJP has directed Ranaut to avoid making such remarks in the future. The party emphasized that her comments did not reflect the party’s stance or policy and cautioned her against discussing party-related issues publicly without authorization.

Context of the Remarks

Ranaut’s statements came amid ongoing discussions about the farmers’ protests, which have been a contentious issue in Indian politics. Her remarks were perceived as an inflammatory comparison, drawing criticism from various quarters.

In summary, the BJP has taken a firm stance to distance itself from Ranaut’s comments and has advised the MP to refrain from making unauthorized statements about the party’s policies.
