Another set of pilgrims depart from Pantha Chowk located in J&K’s Srinagar for the annual Amarnath yatra on Monday morning.
The devotees made their way for Baltal and Pahalgam routes with tight security measures.
As they started their journey, the pilgrims were happy and excited. They with devotion chanted ‘Har Har Mahadev’
One excited pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh expressing his happiness said that he has come for the yatra for the first time. ‘This is the first time I am going to Amarnath, and I am very happy. I will be going from Pahalgam’
In addition, he also talked at length about security arrangements and said, ‘The security facilities are good and everything is going in a flow. I am very lucky that I can go for this Yatra.’
Another Yatri from Indore, MP also expressed similar sentiments and said ‘We are very excited. We made plans all of a sudden. Certainly, the Lord has called us. The arrangements are very good here. There is no issue. The administration is taking good care of us.’
One Yatri from Hyderabad declared that he is eager to catch a glimpse of Baba Amarnath and he had thanked the government for good arrangements.
Meanwhile, for smooth and efficient movement of the devotees and commuters during Amarnath yatra, the J&k traffic police issued an advisory on June 6 on national highway 44- under which, it stated the cut-off timings and announced clear instructions for several convoy and non-convoy vehicles.
The Annual Amarnath Yatra, which commenced from June 29, will come to an end on August 19.
