The National Law School of India University, NLSIU at Bengaluru has retained its No. 1 position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF for the Law Institutions in the year 2023. The National Law School of India University, NLSIU has scored 80.52 ranking in the year 2023 and this being the 6th year in a row that the University has secured the top spot in the NIRF rankings.
The National Law University, NLU at Delhi has secured the second rank with 73.91. Therefore, the NALSAR University of Law is at 3rd rank which is followed by West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. Thus, the Jamia Millia Islamia,New Delhi and Symbiosis Law School are respectively at the 5th and 6th positions.
The HRD Ministry now known as the Ministry of Education launched in 2015, the National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF ranks higher educational institutions across India. The institutes are ranked under various categories which includes the universities, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental and research. In 2018, the category of Law was added to the ranking and then, National Law School of India University, NLSIU has consistently maintained the top rank.
