The 69th National Film Awards were presented to the winners at the Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu.
Kriti Sanon and Alia Bhatt were named Best Actress winners, and Allu Arjun was named Best Actor. The event’s top prize went to the film “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” which was directed by actor R. Madhavan. Six prizes were won by SS Rajamouli’s film “RRR” at the ceremony. Members of the Indian film industry were there for the function to honor veteran actress Waheeda Rehman. The winners spoke with President Murmu and posed for photos in addition to receiving awards from her.

National Film Awards are the most prestigious awards, which are announced annually to honour the best filmmaking talent across the country. According to the Directorate of Film Festivals of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the National Film Awards “aim at encouraging the production of films of aesthetic and technical excellence and social relevance.”
