A Myanmar woman was allegedly gang raped by 4 people in Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj area, Delhi police informed on Tuesday. The woman alleged that she was made unconscious and was abducted by an auto-rickshaw driver before being gag-raped.
As per the police officials, the woman is a registered refugee. “A case has been registered by the police following her complaint,” a police officer said.
According to the complaint, when the woman was abducted by auto-rickshaw driver, she was visiting somewhere in Southeast Delhi, along with her husband for the treatment of their daughter,. The driver reportedly took her to an isolated location.
The Delhi police officials stated, “We registered a case on February 25 under IPC sections 365, 368, 376d,323, and 506.” The investigation is underway, further details are awaited.
