Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, stated on Saturday that he is not Veer Savarkar and will not apologize.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital a day after being convicted in a defamation case and disqualified from the Lok Sabha, Gandhi stated, “My name is Gandhi, not Savarkar.” Gandhians never apologize to anyone.” He also stated that he is not afraid of going to prison and that his removal from Parliament was intended to divert attention away from the Adani issue.

He claimed that the BJP-led central government is shielding businessman Gautam Adani, who is accused of stock manipulation. “The question of who invested Rs 20,000 crore in Adani shell companies remains unanswered.” “I’ll keep asking the question,” the former said.

“Why is the BJP-led government allegedly shielding businessman Gautam Adani?” He claimed, “Kyuki aap hi Adani ho.” “The whole game of disqualification, allegations by ministers is aimed at distracting people from the Adani issue,” Gandhi added.

He also claimed that the Prime Minister was terrified of the “next speech that will be delivered on Adani.” “I saw it in his eyes.” “That’s why, first the distraction, then the disqualification,” Rahul Gandhi explained.

When asked about the BJP’s allegations that he insulted the OBC community, he responded, “I have always talked about brotherhood, this is not about OBCs.”
Gandhi slammed the BJP-led central government, saying, “The country is Adani for this government, and Adani is country.”
