Mumbai Police Drops Bridgerton-Themed PSAs, Social Media Users Chuckle

The Mumbai Police’s Instagram account is renowned for its clever and humorous approach to everyday announcements, making them both engaging and effective in reaching a wider audience.

In their latest series of posts, they’ve taken inspiration from “Bridgerton” to deliver some witty PSAs. A recent Instagram carousel post featured reminders about seatbelts, helmets, and other safety measures, all presented with a Bridgerton-inspired twist.

The caption of the post resembled a message from Lady Whistledown’s society paper, starting with, “Dearest Gentle Reader,” and urging the town’s distinguished members to be vigilant to avoid traffic issues.

Using iconic lines from the series, the Mumbai Police cleverly connected them to road safety gear. For instance, they used a quote like, “You are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires,” to emphasize the importance of helmets.

For seat belts, they chose a dialogue from the series “Queen Charlotte,” a spin-off on the Queen in Bridgerton, which says, “I will stand with you between heaven and the earth,” highlighting how seat belts act as protectors in accidents.

Fans of the show praised the Mumbai Police’s creativity in the comments section. One user suggested giving the person behind these ideas an Oscar, while another said the social media team deserves a raise. Another user likened the Mumbai traffic police to their own Lady Whistledown, appreciating their creative ideas and posts.

Even the official handle of Netflix India joined in, commenting that “there is but one thing that humbles even the most highly regarded members of our dear ton…a traffic violation!”
