SIRSA: Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma received a grand welcome at Karan Palace in Sirsa’s Ellenabad. Sharma, amidst a fervent crowd, arrived to extend invitations to people for an event commemorating Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti on 5 May in Karnal.

Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will grace the event as the chief guest, while former minister Vinod Sharma will preside over it. Sharma also engaged with the media during his visit.

Addressing the gathering, Sharma highlighted the remarkable developmental work under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership across the nation, asserting the imminent victory of the BJP in the upcoming elections. He expressed confidence in BJP candidates winning heavily in all constituencies in Haryana, emphasizing the opposition’s failure to announce their candidates. He noted that the government had fulfilled 10 out of the 13 demands of the Brahmin community, assuring the remaining demands would also be addressed soon.

Sharma urged citizens to exercise their voting rights wisely, stating that democracy thrives on active participation. He credited Modi’s leadership for the significant progress and development in various sectors like employment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and sports, asserting that India had gained recognition globally under his tenure.

Regarding the opposition’s strategies, Sharma criticized their lack of clarity on candidates and leadership, suggesting their inability to present a viable alternative. With just a month left until elections, he questioned their capacity to cover constituencies effectively. Sharma reiterated BJP’s strong presence and assured victories on all 10 seats in Haryana, urging support for BJP candidate Ashok Tanwar in Sirsa.

Despite being a Rajya Sabha representative, Sharma emphasized his commitment to grassroots campaigning, pledging to mobilize support for BJP across the state. He affirmed his dedication to representing Haryana’s interests in the upper house while actively participating in the BJP’s statewide campaign.

He also attended the blessings at Mata Banbhori Dham on Wednesday and sought the blessings of Mother Banbhori. He performed puja and rituals at the temple according to customs. He extended an invitation to the dignitaries present here for the grand event scheduled to be held at the old vegetable market in Karnal on May 5.

Speaking to journalists, Sharma expressed that the profound sense of happiness he experienced during the darshan of Mother Banbhori cannot be expressed in words. He has extended invitations here for the celebration of Lord Parashuram’s birth anniversary.

Following this, he will visit other places and extend invitations for the celebration.
On the dissatisfaction of the Brahmin community with BJP, the Rajya Sabha MP stated that Bhupendra Singh Hooda has formed an opinion that CM cannot be from any other community. He does not hold such a view. Every community is equal, and the CM belongs to all communities. When asked about the question of a deputy CM from the Brahmin community, Rajya Sabha MP Karthikeya Sharma said that it is not entirely correct. We want to move beyond this sealing. We aspire not just for a deputy CM but for the CM position. In a democracy, everyone has the right to voice their opinion, and today, the public knows everything. Whatever decision the public makes will be accepted.

On the statement made by BJP candidate Ranjeet Singh Chautala about Brahmins from Hisar, the MP said that when he made the statement, he registered his opposition. After that, he apologized twice and clarified that it was not his sentiment.
