During the Hyderabad municipal poll season, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is on a offensive mood vis-à-vis the BJP, especially after the Dubbaka bypoll drubbing that the ruling TRS got at the hand of the saffron party.
Speaking to the party leaders, KCR said that he would hold a meeting in Hyderabad with various anti-BJP parties to launch a united fight against the saffron party. He said that he would hold a meet in the second week of December in which he would invite West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former CMs H.D. Kumaraswamy, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, and DMK president Stalin, among others.
“The Congress is hardly a force to reckon with in this election. Our main fight is with the BJP,” KCR said adding that the BJP is selling everything from Indian Railways to LIC of India and it’s time for all parties to wage a war against the BJP at the national level. “What is the necessity of privatising the LIC and Indian Railways which provide lakhs of jobs. They are making false propaganda. The BJP created the disinvestment ministry during Vajpayee regime. About 45 crore people have invested in LIC. I will conduct the conclave against the BJP in Hyderabad in the second week of December. People don’t trust the Congress, We need alternative,” the Telangana CM said.
The state election commission has announced that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Election (GHMC) polls will be held on 1 December. The nomination process started from 18 November and would continue till 20 November.
